Simon Rees appointed as a Partner

Haseltine Lake are delighted to announce that Simon Rees has been made a Partner in the firm, effective 1 November 2006.
Simon has been with the firm since 1998 and has played an important part in the development of our Bristol electronics function since qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2001. Simon has been drafting and prosecuting applications in the telecommunications, electronic and computer architecture sectors, including those relating to mobile communications, ultra-wideband systems, audio and video processing systems, medical devices and software related inventions. He acts for a number of the firm’s key clients which range from multinational companies having large patent portfolios to small companies and individuals and participates in a range of business development initiatives.
Simon frequently visits clients throughout Europe and the USA and is a council member of FICPI UK (International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys) and the UK sub-delegate of FICPI ExCo. Simon recently attended the 2006 FICPI World Congress in May 2006.
