Peter Gifford - Information Technology
Head of Technology Services
"My favourite invention is 'Bottled Fun' - the method of producing fizz in Champagne, probably invented in the mid 16th century by Benedictine monks in southern France. Over the years, techniques were improved, most significantly by the widow Clicquot in the early 19th century, who invented a method for extracting the yeast from the bottle, thereby making clear wine. "
Peter has a 20-year background in IT and business software, managing strategic systems implementation in many large organisations in the professional, public service and logistics sectors. More recently he has worked with e-business projects, initiating the move of more traditional companies into a virtual trading environment.
As Head of Technology Services, Peter, together with the IT department, is tasked with maintaining a resilient and secure environment for the business to function within, together with optimising the quality and availability of information from our recently implemented case management and financial software systems. He is a member of Haseltine Lake’s Management Committee.
