Steve joined Haseltine Lake as a qualified patent attorney in 1999 and has been a Partner since 2001. He is a former member of the British Council of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents and remains active on several of its committees. Steve has broad experience in filing and prosecuting UK, European, PCT and US patent applications in a range of subject matter, including mechanical devices and processes, semiconductor devices, communications, telemetry systems and transducers, product and brand security devices and offshore oil exploration.

Steve acts for a wide range of clients in the electronics & engineering fields, from multi-national companies to University departments and associated spin-off companies. Steve has presented a number of papers on European patent practice to corporations and professional associations in China.A member of FICPI (Federation Internationale Des Conseils En Propriete Industrielle), Steve is a regular visitor to Japan, China and the USA.
