Full team turnout for ‘It’s a Knockout’

04 July 2016

Haseltine Lake staff were out in full force for a recent ‘It’s a Knockout’ challenge, held  at Clevedon Community School in Bristol. The annual event is hosted by Hydro International PLC, in support of global charity, Wateraid.

Battling their way through the oversized, inflatable assault course on a grey Saturday afternoon, the Haseltine Lake team joined together for the big challenge. The day has become an unmissable highlight in the business calendar in recent years, with nearly 100 representatives from companies across the region taking part.

This year, the tournament saw eight teams of local employees, suppliers and business partners tackle the foam-covered, rough-and-tumble jumbo obstacle course, in an attempt to win the coveted Challenge Cup and raise funds for a worthy cause. Some of the members of the Haseltine Lake team were Daniel Hirons, Eamon Robinson, Jack Whitfield, Andrew Flaxman and myself. We were thoroughly soaked and soapy by the end, and I’m sad to report that the HL team weren’t the winners, but we weren’t last either!

The event was raising money for WaterAid, which has a vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.
