Graduate recruitment opportunities at Haseltine Lake

17 October 2016

Each year Haseltine Lake runs a Graduate Recruitment scheme across its London, Bristol and Munich offices, and the firm is currently recruiting for three new Trainee Patent Attorneys to start in September 2017.

Stick man holding a degree

For next year, we are looking for graduates within the Engineering Technologies, Chemistry and Life Sciences, and Electronics and Communications fields, to join our teams in London and Bristol.

We are looking for candidates with a strong science or engineering background educated to at least first degree level, with an enthusiasm for all things science and technology, good communication skills, confidence and great attention to detail.

In return, we offer an interesting and rewarding career in a friendly, supportive and well-resourced working environment. We respect and encourage diversity and equal opportunities and believe in a healthy work-life balance.

We will provide you with a strong training experience, working closely with our senior attorneys to develop the core skills of a patent attorney. You will learn both on the job and alongside your peer group in ‘HL Academy’, our dedicated in-house training school. The majority of our partners trained with Haseltine Lake, proving that if you have the aptitude and the commitment to quality you can go all the way!

One of last year’s Trainees, Grace Wood – in the Electronics and Communications team – comments on her experience, “After studying for a Masters, directed towards materials science, I realised that while I wanted a career that had a technical aspect, I didn’t want to work in academia. For me, training to be a Patent Attorney gives me the opportunities to keep in touch with a variety of innovative new technologies, whilst giving me exposure to working directly with inventors – which is really exciting!”
