We are now on the countdown to the end of the year but the team is still busy travelling the world for client visitations and international conferences.

In London, Joanne Addison spoke at the Royal Society of Chemistry Group’s highly popular IP case law seminar, concentrating on the recent high profile intellectual property law developments in the field of chemistry. Jonathan McCartney hosted an event with SETsquared in Bristol, focusing on the theme of “Developing an effective IP strategy for high-growth ventures”. The interactive workshop was devised around a series of questions that helped the participants create an appropriate IP strategy to support high-growth.

Jonathan McCartney also attended the American International Property Law Association (AIPLA) Conference in Washington with Simon Rees. The conference involved three full days of committee meetings, educational sessions and talks from the most senior professionals in all things IP.

Soni Basra, German and European Patent Attorney and European Trade Mark and Design Attorney, attended the recent CPhI congress in Barcelona, Spain. The exhibition offered companies within the pharmaceutical industry the opportunity to attend seminars and network with over 36,000 pharma industry professionals from 150-plus countries. With influential speakers from across the industry and a great turn-out from international pharmaceutical company contacts, Soni had the opportunity to meet several of her European contacts under one roof.

And finally, Daniel Chew made a trip out to Bali, Indonesia for the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) 66th Council Meeting.
BaliWhile Elizabeth Cooper-Rolfe attended the IPIC (Intellectual Property Institute of Canada) 90th Annual Meeting and gave a presentation on The Changing Landscape of Patent Litigation in Europe.
