Haseltine Lake around the world series 11

26 September 2016

As autumn now approaches, September has proven to be a busy month for the team, with plenty of international travel, conferences and client visitations.

Isobel Finnie kicked off the month by travelling to the US with David Brown and David Hammond, visiting clients in Boston and the surrounding areas in Massachusetts. Not far away in New York, Simon Rees, Corinna Hiscox and David Hammond attended the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) conference. The annual meeting offers sessions on patent and trademark topics, and included a dinner reception at the Museum of Modern Art.

Lisa Williams attended the Space Business Innovation Day, at the European Space Agency (ESA) Business Innovation Centre (BIC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Haseltine Lake is a partner of ESA-BIC and at the event held one-on-one meetings with various start-up companies looking to integrate space technology and data into their business. Industry professionals explored the opportunities space can offer, with presentations and workshops led by key figures from the industry.

Chief Representative of our Guangzhou office, (Ellie) Li Min, was honoured to be invited to a business leader lunch with Baroness Neville-Rolfe, UK Minister of State for Energy and IP, in Shenzhen. The guests shared their experiences in Chinese IP and discussed about how Government can help both UK companies protecting their IP in China, and Chinese companies protecting their IP in the UK, especially SMEs.

And finally, Simon Rees and Chris Hall will finish off the month by making a trip to Texas for client visitations. It’s full steam ahead for the team at Haseltine Lake as we edge closer to the end of year.
