Tour de Haseltine Lake gets off to a great start!

13 October 2017

Tour de Haseltine Lake’ is a sponsored static bike ride to raise money for Worldwide Cancer Research (WCR), our chosen charity for the year. We are cycling virtually "around" our European offices - a distance of 1972 kilometres. Our Munich office kicked off the challenge on 9 October and we will finish in our new Glasgow office. There is one person cycling throughout office hours with a carefully coordinated handover between offices and individual participants.

We've never tackled a collaborative challenge on this scale before and we are very excited about working together in this way in support of WCR, a charity that funds breakthrough research projects to find potential cures for a wide spectrum of cancers.

This is our progress to date:

  • Our Munich and London teams handed over to Bristol on Tuesday afternoon having covered an inspiring 315 km since our race began on Monday morning, this would take us to nearly Bruchsal on our virtual map.
  • Up to the end of Wednesday, the Bristol team had travelled 653 km - this would take us to Libin on our route.
  • The Bristol office continued cycling up to lunchtime on Thursday – by which time we’d cycled on to Mons at 767 km on our route.
  • The London team then finished the day yesterday at Steenvoorde in France, having cycled a further 137.5 km (905 km in total by the end of Thursday).

We would like to say a huge thank you all our business partners, suppliers, friends and family who have supported Tour de Haseltine Lake that has raised £1,708.90 to date. If you’d like to support us, access our secure site for donations here.

We’ll keep on cycling and update you on our progress.
