Haseltine Lake sponsored the Conference’s gala drinks reception. Alex Rogers, Partner at Haseltine Lake, says, “We were delighted to support this year’s PraxisUnico Conference (the annual meeting for technology and knowledge transfer professionals). We find it a highly valuable way to find out the challenges and opportunities facing our clients in the university sector. The range of expert speakers and topics was truly impressive, covering matters such as crowd funding, dealing with the press, Intellectual Property, making revenue out of non-patented technologies and strategies for engaging with SMEs. With the expertise they can draw upon, it is no wonder that the members of PraxisUnico are viewed as world-leaders in their field.”

The conference, which was themed "Expanding Horizons", looked at key issues facing knowledge exchange and commercialisation professionals - the specialist intermediaries who work with scientists, researchers and businesses to ensure investment in public sector research results in tangible and quantifiable benefits for society - both from within the sector and beyond, with an eye on an increasingly globalised environment.

The conference featured an array of high-profile speakers including thought-leader in entrepreneurship, Prof John Mullins; Jane Muir, Immediate Past President, AUTM, and Associate Director, University of Florida; and Richard Bruton, T.D., Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
